Wrong, wrong. You must not have heard about the movement of 500 tons of yellow cake uranium to Canada to be used in the production of nuclear energy. Nor did you hear about the actual use of WMD by Saddam? Did you happen to follow through and study the 16 – SIXTEEN Chatper 7 (highest order) UN security VIOLATIONS by Saddam Hussein’s Iraq? That just for starters. I’m sure that you didn’t focus on the connections between leadership elements of Al Qaeda and the diplomatic advantages that Iraq enjoyed. Golly, you don’t suppose that AQ would have benefited from Iraq’s then pariah state status in its clearly sought out alliances with Saddam’s government? Of course you ignore perhaps the most cogent point of the whole battle against terror there – the attraction and destruction of terrorist elements right in their own front and back yards.
