David Thomson is right. This is not worth getting excited about, because we “ain’t seen nothing yet”. Wait’ll HE’S inaugurated. Mwalimu Doudi got it right; state run media in a soon-to-be third world nation. All the pieces are in place.
Expect along about March or so, that Obama will announce a bailout for the newpaper industry…while appointing appropriate media overseers. Next challenge will be to bring the Internet to heel. Then, with the permanent ruling party in place, it’s “Welcome to the world of state controlled information”.
Enjoy your freedoms while you can folks. They won’t last. Look to the Cuban model for our future.
