This is pretty easy to fix.

Just tell the little EnviroJugend that you are going to start with them. Take aways all their electronic toys-their Wii’s, XBoxes, iPods, cell phones, computers, etc. When you do tell them that they are made out of plastic and other materials that are “hazardous to mother earth” and that you and your EnviroJugend are going to take them down to be recycled. Remove all elecrical items from their room-including lamps. Explain to them that it will help save “mother earth” by their not using electricity. Tell them that watching TV is out, too. If they are bored they can go outside and play.

Next go through their closets and remove any man made fiber item of clothing for recycling, including their shoes.

Then, if you have a yard, plot out a garden and have them start growing their own food and that is what they will hae to eat-transporting food from far away generates greenhouse gasses. They will also not be allowed to eat any foods that are not made at home-no fast food, no candy or other treats that are not home made, no school lunches. They will have to get up early and make their lunch.

Next inform them that they will no longer be allowed to ride the school bus, they will have to walk no matter what the weather is. They can ride their bicycles. The majority of schoolchildren in the world have to walk to school, so can they.

Then tell them that vacations or outings to places like amusement parks, Disneyland/world, etc are out. The family will be going camping at the nearest state park.

If they howl about it (which should kick in when the Wii gets unplugged) just tell them that if they are going to talk the talk they better walk the walk.
