Poor McCain was just swept up in a losing battle from the start. He got caught in the racist Palin rallies, that stupid “country first” crap, the rightwing nutjobs really put him through the ringer. He’s just now getting back to who he really is. Never should have been the nominee in the first place, but he’s all the Republicans had since all the others were far to divisive and racist.
