I work at a public university in a western state, where I also happen to represent my division on the faculty senate. During the past few months, I’ve become increasingly alarmed by the fact that one of our loudmouth envirowhackos on the faculty (a geologist by training who likes to make moralistic pronouncements about AGW and sustainability) is trying to figure out a way to introduce more enviromental indoctrination into the curriculum, and perhaps even require a course in it. I am troubled because no one else on the faculty senate seems the least bit concerned by any of this, and most of this nonsense seems like it will inevitably become part of the university requirements.
