McCain lost. Makes sense–he was a loser. But now it is time to ignore him, consign him to the ash heap of history, and think about a future that does not include him. He wouldn’t have been as bad as Obama is likely to be but he would not have been very good in any event.

Move on as they say.

And ignore the guidance offered by too many of the GOP’s other failed leaders (read losers). In two or four years when respect for the US has continued to diminish (though we will be told how much we are loved now that Bush has gone), when the economy has failed to recover because the US dollar is close to worthless, when trade continues to languish because of administration malfeasance and union pandering, when reality finally hits that democrat/environmental wacko global warming is a bad joke and a hoax that has cost us all dearly, when five or six or more corrupt democrats like Blagejevich surface, after Joe Biden has more time to showcase his idiocy, after “The View” fawns over, and NY swallows, the Caroline Kennedy legacy (I would say she is unqualified and inept but considering present Senate composition who is to say she is unqualified), after taxes climb along with more government spending and waste, and, quite probably, after another terrorist attack the magnitude of which we can only guess kills thousands, why then Obama will very likely possess the profound respect and admiration owed to another Jimmy Carter and we can try again. Should be possible to elect Larry, Curly, or Moe, maybe even a fence post after all of that. Keep in mind that given the build-up and media worship of the last two years that the dems can’t possibly deliver enough. Democrat standing and approval will surely be diminished in a year or two–probably greatly diminished. Conservatives will have another chance-no doubt. Hopefully they and their Republican hangers-on don’t screw it up the next time. (But I’m not taking any bets!)
