Any group that can, with a straight face, declare that a marginal tax reduction is a “giveaway to the rich” clearly believes that ALL of it is government money. You can’t give someone something that is already theirs, therefore letting people keep more of what they (think) they have earned is, to people of that mindset, a giveaway because the government already owns it.
