The New “New McCarthyism”: Are Left-Wing Academics Being Persecuted?
Leftists have learned to argue like an O.J. Simpson lawyer. They squeeze the truth, bend it, stretch it, and by the time they are through—we are often utterly confused. This allows them an opportunity to assert that our bewilderment justifies a total capitulation to their aims.
The quintessential example of leftist mealy mouthing may be Bill Clinton’s initial claim that he never had sex with Monica Lewinsky. It turned out that the former president was lying through his teeth. He was literally claiming that oral sex wasn’t real sex! This sort of manipulation of language cannot be tolerated in a viable society. It literally threatens our very survival. Tolerating the deconstructionist approach to truth—will return us to the age of pure savagery.
