When the industry is founded on an anti-market premise, is it any surprise that it attracts those who vehemently oppose free trade and capitalism? It’s got to be tough when you’ve spent a century operating a monopoly, using every unsavory tactic imaginable to crush any competition and then the internet removes all of the barriers to entry that you’ve so skillfully erected. It’s a wonder none of those antitrust newshawks ever investigated their own papers, they could have won a Pulitzer.
