Whenever an academic employs the phrase ‘critical thinking’ I see a scene from a WWII movie whose title I do not recall. After one character’s long discussion of physics, heavy water, fission and so on, the Nazi on hand says, “Yes, but is this German science, or Jewish science?” Why are these academic Dons unable to question their basic assumptions about human nature? It truly bewilders and astonishes me.
