Pat, we don’t really disagree here. They are boring. I submit to you, though, that they are boring in part because they are fake. They have no passion, which, I suppose, is another way of saying they are not entertaining. Movies with great passion do entertain. Like him or not (and I don’t) Michael Moore is successful because he does have a passion (just not our passion). He does then entertain some people, obviously. These other fictional films are, as I noted, “as if” presentations. They don’t entertain because they are not really felt.
