You’ve received some good advice here from daddy dave. Unlike me, who always plants tongue firmly in cheek and applies very little forethought to posting here, you demonstrate a willingness to weigh other opinions before typing. I think that’s a good thing. Do not change that healthy attitude.
The unpleasant truth is that the election is over,,, our side lost. The conservative in me is saddened. I believe the American voting public was mislead and misguided by a biased media. I believe the voting public was flat out lied to on regular basis by Obama/Biden, and worse than that; the media cover-up was blatant. I’m unsure of why McCain refused to use the nails provided by Rev. Wright and others to crucify Obama when he had the chance. I suspect it was because McCain would have willingly walked barefoot over live coals rather than be tarred with the broad brush of racism, he displayed honor, integrity, and poise above and beyond. But that’s past history now.
Our job now, as part of the conservative base, is to be as vigilant as ever to the creeping disaster of incipient socialism being sold as balm to the sleeping uneducated masses as good governance. We’ll survive this, we always do.
