In response, we’re not all cold-hearted selfish ‘wingers. We just don’t believe the government is the best or only way to help these people you describe. Charity and volunteerism is a much more efficient way of helping people. You could give to programs that administer help to those less fortunate for a lot less money lost to overhead – food banks for example.
Basically, we don’t want the government to take extra earnings away to do a job better done outside of government. We’ll do it ourselves, thank you very much.
