A very insightful article. The situation in Russia is reminiscent of the early 90s in Yugoslavia, when Izetbegovic and Co. established warm ties with the Iranians, contributing to the destabilization of the situation in Bosnia. Thus, we can perhaps see the importance of resolving the Kosovo situation as a sort-of warm-up to the demographic crisis in Russia. It beggars the imagination to think what a new Russian Civil War might entail.
