The debate:
I agreed with everything Hunter said about defense, foreign policy and trade. I would love to see him run for Senator against Boxer and if he doesn’t win, he’s my choice for Secretary of Defense. I was about to send him a donation until his life begins at conception rant which blurs the distinction between potentiality and actuality and keeps a sensible alternative to abortion: the morning after pill from becoming the norm. .
Thompson held his own I thought and impressed me more on my third viewing of the debate. The man badly needs some plastic surgery around the eyes. And some public speaking coaching from Newt Gingrich, who I think would make a superb Vice President, taking on special projects for President Thompson.
Huckabee reminds me of Jim Nabors and Carter and Clinton. Not good. Also, I hate being preached at especially by Baptists!
Ron Paul’s eccentricity is fun. The Stepford candidate can never close the sale. Tancredo and Brownback and McCain should go home. It’s over for them..
Lastly, I’ve read that Giuliani left a debt of several billion dollars for Bloomberg to pay off which makes his tax spiel a lie.
So, it’s Thompson for me.
