CO2 is a greenhouse gas. See Arrhenius’ work (1896). and refinements by Calendar (1940s), Plass (1950s), and of course the radiation codes analyzed by Ramanathan and Coakley (1978).
No one makes the argument that CO2 is the only driver of climate, so we don’t expect to see correlation. However, CO2 is the most important driver in the current climate system.
It would be a good idea to understand the theory you are trying to discredit. Jules should follow the same advice.
