I will be 60 years old next year and have been an avid student of history and politics (as well as a Navy wife and mother) since I could read a book. You are a breath of fresh air in the otherwise stale rarefied air of 545 people who have lived inside the Potomac for too long to remember how they got there. My husband was an intelligence analyst for the Navy for 36 years. He retired in October at the age of 58 so that Obama’s name would not be anywhere on his papers. The way the world is spinning out of control (chaos theory in action) we do not need a neophyte in office who bought his way into office, does not know what ethnicity he is (he is only 1/6th black…I’m part Cherokee) and has the knowledge of a 6th grader of world events. He should have had at least the major part of his cabinet already in mind and the way he seems to take advice, we are going to have Pelosi and Reid running the country instead. I am so sorry for the lies and stabs in the back by someone in your campaign advisory committee and shame on McCain that he sent his campaign manager to your defense instead of having the courage to do it himself.
I am not now and never have been a feminist or racist, but if you are still interested in 2012, go for it girl! And make term limits for Congress as well as the presidency one of your first priorities. That’s if there is a country called America left in 2012.
