Let’s Take Some Pride in Obama’s Election — No Matter Who We Voted For

You can have civil discussion. You are well read and I respect the thought you put into you response for me. I still disagree with many of your assessments, but I respect your opinion. As for the comment made by the South African, it was made on this site. It would be easy to over look because there were hundreds of replies and you could have moved on to another page. With that said, I have more important things to do than sit on this blog and debate over the internet. I’ll go back to my teaching career and work to create thinkers who are willing to listen to each other and work together to find solutions. If my generation can’t figure out how to have different opinions with out attacking each other, maybe theirs can. I would like to leave you with this thought. Being American means defending the right of another American to hold an opinion you despise and would rail against with all of your being. (I got that from The American President). Well I have seen opions expressed that I rail against and I would defend your right to hold it because that is the American way.
