Let’s Take Some Pride in Obama’s Election — No Matter Who We Voted For

RE: More Tomorrow, Folks….
Right now the neighborhood association has planned a progressive wine-tasting party as a fund raiser to sustain ourselves in the face of the ‘slings and arrows of outrageous fortune’ as hurled at us by the City Council and I’m intent upon attending.
We had a local victory against such ‘audacity of Hope’ on their part this last Tuesday. A GREAT victory in a change to the city ordinances that requires televised public forums as part of City Council meetings. Three guesses as to what the City Council DIDN’T want….first two don’t count…..
I intend to celebrate the local issue victory, despite my apprehensions of what transpired at the national level.
After all, if everything goes to hell-in-a-hand-basket, I’m certain that WE’LL survive. We have agriculture, cattle, oil, coal, iron ore, smelters, forges, rail, roads and water. Not that the rest of the nation can say as much in one state. [Note: Why do you think that Denver is the next national capital, if Washington gets 'wasted'.]
Not so sure about the rest of the nation, i.e., how can the major metro areas say they’ll survive if things go ‘south’. But then again, that might be a blessing in disguise…..
I’ll address your specific whinings come tomorrow…probably afternoon. In the meantime, have a wonderful evening and weekend.
Regards,
Chuck(le)ing….
