Anatoliy Golitsyn Predicted all this. He is a former KGB officer, now a defector, who has written books dealing with KGB control of the Soviet Union. In 1984, he warned that:
– The KGB would orchestrate the ‘collapse’ of the Soviet Union. He said it would be just a ploy to catch the West unawares.
– Russian ‘liberalization’ would be proclaimed and predicted, but not done.
– PR stunts, like demolishing the Berlin wall, were part of the plan.
– Russia would try to enter the European Union, to take it over and impose socialism in Europe.
– The KGB would stay in control in Russia, waiting for a good moment to disable and demolish Western democracy.

Last month, I dismissed Golitsyn as a lucky Nostradamus, predicting the fall of the Soviets. This week, however, Putin, the ‘former’ KGB officer, is clearly attempting to be succeeded by a cabal of ‘ex’-KGB people. Hmmm…
