After EU bureaucrats promised the EU electorate that they could vote the EU Constitution up or down, the voters rejected it.
The EU has now taken the necessary corrective action: EU bureaucrats and politicians will force the treaty down the throats of the citizens — who will not have any say whatever in its implementation this time around. You see, the voters voted wrong, and can not be trusted.
Karl Marx warned of the possibility of a historical appendix that could derail the path between capitalism and communism, wherein legions of nameless, faceless and unaccountable bureaucrats could possibly take over and rule, stopping any further [what Marx called] progress. Now it’s happened. And the pathetic European serfs won’t do much besides a little arm-waving. Then they’ll settle down and be good, compliant slaves working for their bureaucratic masters — who, of course, know what’s best for them.
