i get the sense from this article, the video and comments that it is desirable to have usa involvement to effect a democracy direction change. i empathize with these comments but believe they are irrational. virtually anything the usa does, good, bad or indifferent, is bound to be opposed by most persians and arabs and almost every time results in an effect opposite to their efforts. it is time to understand the exporting democracy is not successful in almost every case, and therefore irrational. this would be particularly true within islam, but also true elsewhere, for example, in latin america where i reside. .
