Before the election battle began, John McCain and Barack Obama were sitting side by side at a budget meeting. Trying to show some empathy for McCain, Barack asked John what it was like spending all those years in tortured captivity. McCain replied, “A lot of times, I’d gone to sleep not knowing if I was going to wake up the next morning. It was hell.”

Barack dropped his head a little, stared at his yellow pad, and said, “That’s nothing, John. How’d you like to wake up to Michelle’s sourpuss of a face every morning?”
