Left, right or center, the core principle of journalism is to report the facts as best you can, in as objective a manner as possible. [....] The whole point of our unique freedom for the press is to provide a neutral perspective to inform the public, a fourth estate. Media bias from right or left undermines our freedom as Americans.

You should think that through a little more carefully. Through most of our nation’s history, the press was anything but neutral. Media bias hidden behind a veil of objectivity creates problems. Media bias out in the open allows you to mix your information sources so that you can piece together a view of reality.
