I agree that those are two of (if not necessarily the entirety of) the left’s great themes. The left is wrong on both of them.
1) President Bush did not lie us into the Iraq war. Every serious intelligence estimate concluded that Hussein’s Iraq had either active or nascent WMD programs. President Bush clearly stated that while the risk of Iraq having WMD’s had not changed, our risk tolerance had changed to the point where the risk Iraq continued to represent was no longer tolerable.
2) Al Queda is in Iraq. Significant unrefuted evidence that Iraq provided some general level of collaboration with or assistance to al Queda prior to 2003 exists.
