I think Mandel’s “obligation to George Bush” that Poole referred to as an attack on Mandel’s military record was actually an attack on Mandel’s loyalty to the Repub Party in a Democratic-leaning district.
Similarly, Poole claims Kilroy attacked Stivers, saying he’s “not on your side.” Poole provides no evidence that the remark was directed at Stivers’ military record. In fact, the remark was directed at Stivers’ lengthy employment as a banking industry lobbyist and vice preside.
Poole has taken two remarks: “not on your side,” and “obligation to George Bush,” and twisted them to insinuate that they represent attacks on the military.
He also provides no evidence to back his claim that these attacks represent the work of the OH Dem Party apparatus. If anything, they’re simple criticisms of singular Repub opponents by singular Dem opponents. Nothing more.
