Well, here’s the thing… I was disappointed by Bush ’00, but I didn’t automatically declare America doomed. His governing, his administration and the tanking of true American values turned me against him. At least I can say with a clear conscience that Bush EARNED his reputation.
Obama has yet to govern as POTUS.
And, while in CA, I did not support the recall of Gray Davis, I can say that the Gubernator has not been a terrible Gov. for California.
I cannot believe you guys are being all p*ssy because Obama had/has WAY more money than McCain. He fundraised and garnered HUGE amounts of small donors. He revolutionized campaigning and raising money. ((Personally, I think each person should have X amount of dollars, free air time and no 527s to campaign and bring their message to the voters.))
And for those of us who read/watch news, the vote was truly spread amongst those over/under 60 years of age. Over 60 – supported McCain. Under 60 – supported Obama. In a significant spread. So it’s not race (per se), it is generational.
Here’s the best part — I am gloriously happy today, proud of my country and feel very much a patriot and a citizen of change.
You?
