This is an Obama speech from a little over a year ago.
His citation from the 2nd paragraph of the Declaration of Independence is a little…incomplete
We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that each of us are endowed with certain inalienable rights, that among these are life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.
When asked about this omission, White House Press Secretary at the time, Robert Gibbs, replied: “I can assure you the president believes in the Declaration of Independence.”
