I assumed that this was some kind of moronic stunt. If he really does feel compelled to answer phone calls from his wife during speeches, he needs professional help. Maybe you should get in contact with him.
However: maybe he only needs to keep her from divorcing him until he is elected, which would make this a short-term problem.
