I’m very much enjoying this discussion.

Where and when I grew up, “colored” kids weren’t allowed to drink from the same water fountains as I. The same passion and logic that normalized such absurd and institutionalized madness remains with us today and should bubble to the surface now that we’ve broken the seal with this historic election.

Racism is racism – whether a perversion of nationalism, socio-political isolationism or blind fear – racism is racism.

We’ll have more than enough to sort out on both sides.

At least we’re talking about it again.
