As a Brit looking on, the thing that bothers me is how the MSM, in the main, failed to ask hard questions about Mr Obama’s policies. For McCain’s part, he failed to spell out a clear domestic agenda, especially on the economic crisis. The Republicans allowed their opponents to get away with the outrageous idea that what happened was the fault of “unregulated” markets, despite the role in what has happened of the Federal Reserve, the Federal home loan agencies, various banking rule, legislation forcing banks to loosen their lending criteria, etc.
But hopefully Obama won’t be as bad as some conservative worriers fear. Well, if it gets too bad, y’all can come over to Britain which is likely to kick out the Labour government in at least a year or so from now. Or why not even France?
