What sank McCain’s campaign was the media’s successful effort to pin the sub-prime mortgage problems on the Republicans. If there’s a single person most responsible for the entire fiasco it’s Christopher Dodd, Democrat. McCain should have been hammering that point home at every opportunity.
He may not have been successful, but the facts were on his side, and he should have tried.
