Obama and the Post-Racial Illusion

Silly me – I thought the whole concept of being “post-racial” was to vote for the best candidate, not to vote based on the color of someone’s skin.

But IMO Obama and his supporters have made his candidacy more about race than anything else. Their constant cries of racism whenever anything about him is questioned can hardly be interpreted otherwise.

Somehow his election is supposed to prove we’re not bigots and a poster actually has the chutpah to dismiss “white guilt” as a motivator? Anytime people fawn on and on about how an Obama Presidency would make the rest of the world like us better it certainly smacks of white guilt to me.
