Obama is intentionally cheating on credit card processing. The media should be demanding the IP address from every donor, in addition to the name, address, city, state and zip. IP addresses can be “reverse lookedup” to determine without doubt the actual country the computer making the donation. Anyone who runs a competent web site collects this information to prevent fraud.
Frankly, I’m surprised his processor and merchant account bank are allowing this kind of behavior, where they turn off the AVS (Address Verification Service) and accept clearly illegal donations.
Because some of these transactions unquestionably violate U.S. law (donations made by non-U.S. citizens and donations in excess of the legal limit), they also violate the credit card agreements they had to sign. I don’t know of any processor that permits illegal activities in connection with their services. There are any number of laws being violated here, possibly the Patriot Act.
These companies are definitely in Obama’s pocket, after all, they are regulated banking businesses that will continue to operate under an Obama administration. We’ve witnessed what happens to people who go against The One.
