Like I keep telling my son, if somebody says “Do X or I won’t be your friend anymore,” the correct response is “I’m sorry you feel that X is so important that you would throw away our friendship over it. It was nice being your friend and if you ever change your mind, let me know.” People who would try to manipulate you by dangling friendship in front of you are not people you want to have for friends.
