As an American living in Peru I am astounded at the comments.
All are from supposedly educated, responsible, American citizens. Yet all, sheep-like, are fighting to place the responsibility of their future in the hands of one or another candidate.
The complexity of our social and economic organization makes it impossible for one man to deal with ALL of it.
China’s 9 man ruling body is for a dictatorship, not America’s democracy whose rule is “government of the people, by the people, and for the people”.
The unsolved problem, the root of the evils that have befallen AMerica at home and abroad, lies in the rule itself…when the government is NOT OF THE PEOPLE, NOT BY THE PEOPLE, but by representatives of the people who are not watched or audited or held to account for their irresponsibility as respresenting the hopes, fears, and desires of the people…for all of us.
Read the Declaration of Independence to your children; read the Preamble to our Constitution to them.
Then they can understand why the United States of America was once, and still could be, the the source of inspiration for those without hope,at home and abroad, victims of unrestrained greed and arrogance.
