Folks, Rick is just trying to counter too much happy talk. The facts are that McCain has an uphill climb. Impossible? No.
The thing that gives me heart is that despite The One spending so much, he still is not ahead by a wide margin. If this election were “over” he should be galloping away, especially with the resources he’s expended. But he’s not.
The reason that he’s not is that this is a center right country.The most broadly agreed upon principle in American political life is that you need to work for what you get in this country. Spreading the wealth is not acceptable to the vast majority of Americans and that is why King Barack is not going to win.
