Those of us who are old enuf to remember “Laugh-In” remember the much- used comment of a very perceptive observer of idiotic incidents; “Very interesting, but shtupid! It reminds me of what our national reaction to the political campaign/election process should be but isn’t. If any major corporation was seeking to hire a CEO, the personell director would sift through resumes to find the most highly trained, most experienced, most competent of all the applicants who had a proven track record of accomplishments relevant to the company’s objectives, and various personal attributes that would serve the company’s good image, not the least of which would be honesty, integrity, etc. So, how do we select a man to be the CEO of our country. We have a popularity contest and allow the MSM to divert us into arguing about every form of trivia instead of the real issues – about how many houses he has or the cost of the wardrobe etc. ad nauseam. Have we gone mad. Let’s get real. WE are the personnel directors and WE do the hiring and WE do it with our votes. So take a good look at the resumes all you democrats and try to justify that what this country needs badly is a community organizer/junior senator who has voted nothing but the liberal party line in his ‘extensive’ political career. If the American public is so gullible as to be swayed by the Obama smoke & mirrors routine & we have to suffer him as President, we’ll all be compelled to look back at our selection methodology & say “very interesting-but shtupid”!
