It’s absolutely game over for McCain. The reasons you publish are miniscule compared to the electoral vote mountain that McCain would have to traverse in order to win. Also, I find it hilarious that you don’t take into account the only reason McCain can still win- massive undemocratic voter suppression efforts on the part of the GOP.
The whole “socialist” crap is idiotic. The radio interview was taken waaaaay out of context, blown up by Drudge, and thoroughly debunked as a misinterpretation of legal rhetoric.
I just can’t get over McCain’s contradictions. He used to blast the Bush tax cuts as being stupid and politically motivated, and they are now the core of his tax policy. To this day he hammers Obama for wanting face to face diplomacy with dictators, yet he met with one of the most ferocious dictators, Pinochet! They attack Obama for being connected with a convicted felon, yet Palin RAN Steven’s PAC and worked closely with him! They blast Obama for “palling around with terrorists” when Palin is MARRIED to someone who belonged to a group advocating SECESSION from the US, and McCain is friends with a radio host who advocated shooting police in the head!
Regardless of all this crap, when you look at the policies, I’d take Obama any day of the week. Under McCain, conflict with Iran is inevitable (sanctions will NEVER work), but intense diplomacy may be able to prevent what would be an absolutely catastrophic conflict.
