Um … reality check, people … Kenny Gamble and his business partner Leon Huff co-founded Philadelphia International Records, which released a long list of top Disco and R&B hits in the 1970s by such stars as Harold Melvin & The Blue Notes, The Spinners, Billy Paul, Teddy Pendergrass and Patti Labelle. He’s a wealthy entrepreneur who became a fixture in the entertainment industry. Remember the song “Ain’t no stoppin’ us now?”? Gee, wasn’t that “radical”?!? And how about, “Me and Mrs. Jones”? Or “If You Don’t Know Me By Now”? Oh yeah and “For the Love of Money” too.
Written by the songwriting duo Gamble & Huff.
Also, the 1500 block of Christian Street is one block west of Broad Street in an area of South Philly that has been predominantly black since the 1960s, but it’s surrounded by Italian-American, Asian-American, Caucasian-American and commercial areas. It’s a community in which many ethnicities cross paths, especially up and down Broad Street.
Nice try. But this is hardly the stuff of a nefarious conspiracy against America. Heck, McCain/Palin are probably pumping up their rally crowds with Kenny Gamble’s recordings every day! Do you think they know they’re paying royalties and licensing fees to support this so-called radical outpost at 1501 Christian Street?!?!
Hey … why doesn’t somebody run to McCain/Palin HQ in “communist northern Virginia” and tell them they’re funding terrorists!?!?
