I’m glad Obama has finally remembered what this woman did for him. It’s a shame it too him so long. Last time he brought her up he was telling us that she was a “typical white person” who was afraid of black people — the implication being, I think, that if we were very good we would vote for him and show everyone we weren’t racists anymore.
I’m not sure whether going to visit her is a calculated move or not; nobody knows but Obama. I hope for his sake it is not.
