Morgo, you’ve made a significant non sequitur.
The people you asked said they’d vote for him because he’s smart. Now, that’s undoubtedly not the only reason, but even if it were you haven’t shown that it’s insufficient reason to elect the man.
You don’t vote for the smart man because people will think you’re smart by association, you vote for the smart man because he’ll make smart decisions. While it may not always be the case that the best educated make the best decisions at least argue against modern educations instead of an electorate that feels that they’re making an informed choice (and not just voting with their egos).
It’s not ego that drives the kind of passion Obama supporters feel for him, it’s raw idealism, and while you may disagree with that, don’t attack their character to salve your political pride.
