I have asked Obama supporter after Obama supporter to tell me why they LOVE him. No major accomplishments, no record of change, unflinching support of his corrupt bosses in Illinois.
They always come down to the same thing: He’s smart.
And by voting for him it makes them feel like others will think they are smart, too.
Obama is smart. Flattery will get you everywhere. And the middlebrows munch it up.
