I won’t cut Palin an ounce of slack. If she can’t answer for an 8 year old (of which she has a kid around that same age of her own), she doesn’t know the answer.

Powell essentially repudiated McCain and his decisions.
Powell refused to run, if rumor is true, because his wife was so vehemently opposed to it and was afraid he would be assassinated. You may not agree with his decision to not run, but he chose his family.
Be in denial all you want. Fact is Powell repudiated McCain. He did not side with the other black guy.
If you have been paying attention, many conservatives have also been repudiating McCain. For similiar reasons as enunciated by Powell.
