Colin Powell is a genuine American patriot, a hero, and he has earned my respect and gratitude. I think his endorsement does carry weight, and God forbid, if Obama is elected… at least I hope Colin Powell will be a key advisor to him and not Bill Ayers & Co. I was not impressed with Mr. Powell’s record while Secretary of State, it appeared to me that the career bureaucrats within the State Department were running him rather than the other way around, many of whom are anti-Bush. This endorsement, if nothing, seems to me to be more of the same. Mr Powell wants to be liked more than he does stand on conservative principles. But, who ever said he was a conservative? He’s not! Look at what he said about the Supreme Court… one of the main reasons he gave for endorsing Obama was to prevent two more conservative judges on the Supreme Court. So, I think Mr. Powell is actually showing his true political colors, he’s a good man, but a tad liberal on the politics, and that’s something I think isn’t too shocking after his performance while Secretary of State.
