Powell’s endorsement can’t possibly help; it’s a non-issue in that respect. His reasons for choosing Obama were telling. They weren’t race-related, he assures us, but the reasons were fluff with no substance. That was interesting. Especially since Republicans have helped Powell gain such prominence, and McCain helped get his son a key post in the fed govt. What a back-stabber, Colin Powell has been this week, once again. Why didn’t he help Libby and the whole Bush White House staff, by telling the truth outright, that it was Armitage who “leaked” (which was not technically a leak) Plame’s name? And why hasn’t he spread the word since he left office that Saddam WANTED the world to think he had WMD (Piro’s discovery) ? This man Colin Powell is either guilty of insubordination, or stupidity, or just has a massive chip on his shoulder and wanted to sell books.
