Why is 5% of the McCain campaign about John McCain and 95% against Obama? As an independent, I found this election and the two candidates to be the most interesting and exciting one to be a part of in my life. I have looked into a wide variety of opinions and media like this one that I probably would never have even noticed before. This could have been such an incredible time to be in an American democracy.
However, in the last few weeks as the GOP began losing ground, the issues have turned to trivial and off-the-wall accusations instead of real-world, real-time debates. Really, this kind of fear mongering is more along the lines of a facist society, not a democratic one.
And by the way- the “main-stream media” is just that because it is the Main Stream-as in the majority of Americans- the majority that want the war to end, distrust the current administration and want negative/distorted mud slinging to stop.
