“Joe the Plummer” lied. He said he was about to buy a business. He wasn’t. No one would have known about his little lie if John McCain hadn’t foolishly decided to keep bringing up his name during the last presidential debate.

This is the basic problem with the Republican Party: they lie, then they get outraged when their lies are exposed.

Sarah Palin claimed that she said “Thanks, but no thanks” to the “Bridge to Nowhere.” No she didn’t, and the Republicans went nuts when she was called on it. Americans have had enough, and that is why the Democrats will win big in November.

Karl Rove wanted to create a permanent Republican majority and thanks to his efforts and his tactics, the Democratic Party will control Congress for at least a generation, and perhaps the presidency as well.
