This is the timeline.
Obama camp posts video of he and Joe the Plumber having a great conversation on taxes a day or two before the debate. I posted it on my site, so I know. The McCain campaign saw the video and in their erratic way figured they had something. They contacted Joe before the debate. These things we know. Right after the debate, Joe was on with Katie Couric, slamming Obama as a socialist, saying he was a smooth talker, a tap dancer around questions. Obama spent a lot of time answering his question. Joe the Plumber said on Katie’s show that Obama taps nearly as well as Sammy Davis Jr. Disrespectful. Joe goes on all the morning TV shows, slamming Obama. We come to find out that he misrepresented himself — he owes back taxes, is a conservative republican (Obama could’ve spent hours with him and it wouldn’t have changed his mind) and is an unlicensed plumber. Hmmmm. What does this say? To me it’s another sign of a willy nilly campaign tactic by the McCain camp that went awry.
