It is too bad that you see young people having some freedom from extreme religious repression and poverty as blameworthy not to mention a “foreign lifestyle” which it no doubt is to Sudan. It is going to be the ingenuity and creativity of those young people and their openness to new ideas and experiences (except the ones who get into the heroine) who could possibly lift the nation out of poverty – not the religious police and the government bureaucrats.
